How to use the Mapometer Search Engine

1. Go to this page
2. Find the location on the map of where you want to find routes. The search engine will work faster if you select a smaller area.
3. Adjust the slider bar to the distance you are looking for and deselect the route types you don’t need.
4. Press “New Search”
If you want to look in a different area you have to move the map, press “Change Search Criteria” and press “New Search” again. The search engine shows the routes that have been viewed the most first. With time this should improve the quality of routes shown first.
Is there going to be an option to search for routes by title?
E.g. I put the club name first on all my shared routes. It would be good to have an option to search for a name to view those routes.
Thanks

Hi
Yes that is something we will be working on soon and you should expect to see hopefully by the end of the year.

I have just responded to another post with the comment below but thought that this post is more relevant. Sorry for the duplication.
=====================================
It would be nice when searching for routes if you could filter on ‘CIRCULAR’ or ‘OUT and BACK’ routes or ‘BOTH’. This could then narrow down the search to just that ‘TYPE’ of route in which you’re interested in.
After mapping out a route in mapometer we would then select the ‘TYPE’ of route to save to.
What do you think?

Hi
We will be updating the search engine later this year and try and improve the functionality.

In Google Chrome it’s not possible to drag the markers on the slider for distance.

You can on our version. Could you let me know which version of Chrome you are using?
