Import / Export GPX Files
Posted by mapometer

You can now import and export GPX files for use with your Garmin or other Navigational device. The Import button is available in the “My Account” page. The Export Button is shown when you map a route.
I get an error message when exporting a gpx file from Internet Explorer. It appears in the bottom left hand corner and is an invalid argument error message and refers to custom.js. I find I can export and import gpx files using Firefox but not Internet Explorer. Any suggestions? I’ve downloaded the latest java software, and checked the security settings in IE, but I’m obviously missing something.

If it’s any help I am having similar problems as Stephen.
I am using IE Version 8 and have the same symptoms, ‘Error’ is displayed in the bottom left hand corner when I click on the ‘Import GXP Data’ button.
I have also tried with Firefox and Chrome, however they both open the pop up box and allow me to select the GPX file, however the page appears to do nothing when I click on Import_File, just stating ‘waiting for gb.mapometer.com’…
Any help or suggestions appreciated, thanks.

Hi
Could you email to info@mapometer.com the URL of the route you are having problems with and briefly describe the problem. I will also forward this on to the right person as it looks like it is becoming an issue. Just to clarify though, are you trying to import or export (Stephen was exporting).
Thanks
James

Sorry for not getting back to you on this, however I’ve just tried it again and it’s working wonderfully!! Something just needing a kick I’m sure..
Keep up the good work!
