We have changed the way this works and now there is a simple + and – button. I also accidentally discovered today that pressing the + or – button on your keyboard also works.

We have had a new comments about Editing Routes. The way you do this has changed and it is simpler. You have slide the A and B markers to the area you want to edit and then click on that part of the route. It does take a little while to get the hang of but let us know what you think.
We have also removed the word “Total” from the ascent and decent figures but it still does show the total.
We’ve just updated the site with a new feature. We have introduced the ability to attach labels (or tags) to your list of routes. Labels work in much the same way as folders but you can give a route more than one label. You can now get the site to only show certain labelled routes and also sort by route distance, type and name. This has been one of our most requested features I’m going to spend the next few minutes sorting mine as I have 100s of saved routes and it will be nice to get them into some sort of order! Have a play and let us know what you think.
This has been one of the most requested features on Mapometer recently. Now, in the training log, don’t have to select a route in order to save an entry in the training log. By pressing the Gym button you can manually enter any distance.
Also we got a lot of requests from people who asked if they could manually adjust the lengths of saved routes in the training log. They may have gone a bit further or cut it short. It is now possible to manually adjust the distance you have gone.
This is by far and away the most requested feature at the moment for the training log. We will bring it back with the next round of changes which going to happen in September. In the meantime please use Average Speed is it effectively shows the the same thing. If you hover the mouse over the bars in the chart it willshow your actual speed.
Over the past few months we have been working hard at mapometer.com and we are pleased to announce some improvements to the site.
1. As well as running cycling and walking you can now save routes for mountain biking, canoeing, swimming, horse riding, downhill skiing and cross country skiing. We have had many requests for this feature and we would urge users to change any saved routes in these sports so that they appear correctly in our search engine.
2. We have completely overhauled the training log. Users can now easily see their recent activity and analyse distance, speed, effort, energy used, and time in any chosen period for any route or sport in an easy to use table and graph. Overall, users get a much better overview of their training.
