Welcome to the 2017 Cycle for Sight, presented by Dickson Lion's Club. Both routes were revised and improved last year to highlight more of the rural scenery of Dickson County. Ride through the unrivaled fall beauty of the hills, forests, meadows, and farmland of western Middle Tennessee. Rest stops include the historic Dickson County Courthouse square, where the oldest courthouse in Tennessee is located, and Cumberland Furnace, where the iron industry of the 18th century originated.
Proceeds from this event will be used for sight conservation and help support other club projects such as scholarships and Middle Tennessee Lions Charities. Dickson Lions Club also collects used glasses for recycling. Please consider bringing any used eyeglasses you may have and donate them at this event. Boy Scouts will be on hand to collect your donation.
Start/Finish will be at the Bibb-White Bluff Civic Center, 1054 Old Charlotte Road, White Bluff, TN 37187
Upon return to the Bibb/White Bluff center, riders will enjoy a cookout provided by Dickson Lions club. Plan to spend the remainder of the day in White Bluff and visit the annual White Bluff Main Street Festival. Enjoy food, live music, vendors, and fun for the family.
Registration and check-in opens at 7:00 AM. Both rides begin at 8:00 AM. Pre-registration is $35.00 until September 28. Registration after that date through the day of the ride is $40.00, but t-shirts are not guaranteed. Helmets are required for all riders.
Both rides feature scenic rural back roads with good pavement. Terrain is varied with some challenging hills.
Road and Track Specialties, a local bike shop in Dickson, TN will provide mechanical support for the ride. Sag and medical support will also be provided.
