Description

Come to Monticello, GA for the 20th Annual Deer Dash 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run.  The start/finish will be on the square in downtown Monticello, GA.  Stay afterwards for the 51th Annual Deer Festival.  The entire course is run on paved streets in and around downtown.

Event details and schedule

Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup: Begins at 6:30AM

1 Mile Fun Run: Starts at 7:30AM

5K: Starts at 8AM

Awards:

Awards will be presented to Overall Buck/Doe, Masters Buck/Doe, and top three Buck/Doe in age groups beginning 10 and under through 70 and over.  1 Mile First Place Finisher Award Buck/Doe to runner 10 years of age and under. Medals will given to all finishers in the fun run.

Timing and Results:

Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with complete results posted online at www.classicraceservices.com, www.runningintheusa.com, www.active.com, and www.coolrunning.com.

Shirts and Goodies:

Long Sleeved Shirts are guaranteed in adult sizes and youth sizes to those who register by 4PM on 10/23/17.  Those who register after that date, time and on race day are not guaranteed a shirt or size. There will be plenty of refreshments and entertainment after the race.

Series Affiliation:

The race is part of the 2017 Black Bag Race Series and the Run and See Georgia Grand Prix.

Other Info:

In case of rain, the races will go on.  Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time.  If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time.  Sorry, no refunds.
