Description

The 40th Annual Strawberry Stride is a 5K race that supports athletes at Portland High School.  The event starts and ends at Portland High School.  The race is relatively flat with only a slight elevation during the first 1/4 mile and on the last part of the race.  Race time is 8am for the 5K and 1 mile races.  A Kids Fun Run, about 1/4 of a mile race, starts at 8:45am.  5K race categories start at 10 years of age and increase in 5 year increments.  1 mile race age groups are middle school, high school and adult.  The Fun Runs are Pre-K/K through 5th grade. The races are one part of an all day community event, The Strawberry Festival, which culminates in a parade later in the afternoon.

Event details and schedule

Participants should park on the west side of PHS and enter the building on the west side.  Pre-registration pick-up will be in the gym lobby starting at 7:30.  Race starting line is on the east side of the building.

Participants should register by midnight, Friday, April 24, 2026 to guarantee receipt of an event t-shirt. WE DO NOT ORDER MANY EXTRAS, SO REGISTER EARLY.
