Description

The ALDI Chester 10K is the only city based 10K in Chester, register online and run in aid of St John Ambulance help us make the difference.

Many runners use the 10K as a perfect warm up to for a marathon.

The fast course starts near the iconic Northgate Arena and heads north-west out of the City along wide roads allowing runners to rapidly settle into race pace, then passing through the picturesque village of Mollington, before returning to the heart of Chester City centre and finishing outside the historic Victorian town hall and Medieval Cathedral.

All finishers will receive a tech coloured T-shirt, bespoke medal and goody bag.

Where is the race start?

The ALDI Chester 10K starts near the Northgate Arena on Victoria Rd, Chester CH2 2AU.

What is the race route?

The fast course starts near the iconic Northgate Arena and heads north-west out of the City along wide roads allowing runners to rapidly settle into race pace, then passing through the picturesque village of Mollington, before returning to the heart of Chester City centre and finishing outside the historic Victorian town hall and Medieval Cathedral.

 

Where can I park?

City Centre Parking

There is ample parking in Chester city centre car parks, and other local car parks, within easy walking distance of the start. These car parks will charge a variety of fees dependent on the length of time vehicles are parked. Further details of car park locations and the fees charged can be found here.

Northgate Arena car park will not be open for runners to use.

Access and parking

Disabled parking is available in the Northgate Arena car park close to the start, see more information on Disabled Go.

The finish is about half a mile from the start. Disability parking and facilities are shown on this map.

 

Charity

The charity for this event is St John Ambulance and the minimum sponsorship is £50.

When running for St John Ambulance expect to receive the following support from us:

•           training information and fundraising support

•           a St John Ambulance running vest or t-shirt

•           a souvenir certificate to commemorate your achievement.

 

What should I wear?

Please wear sensible running attire for this event and running shoes.

 

Can I wear fancy dress?

Yes, we welcome runners in fancy dress. Why not run as a Roman Centurion? It would be great to see the streets of Chester full of Centurions again!

We do ask that you are considerate to your fellow runners, and don't wear a costume that might be obstructive or dangerous to others.
