AMELIA ISLAND WALK - SATURDAY, October 7, 2017 -CANCELLED AND POSTPONED

NOTE: Registration closes at 11:00 PM on Saturday, September 23rd.

This is an opportunity to walk the island for exercise, enjoyment and appreciation of the beauty surrounding us. The Amelia Tree Conservance/Amelia Island Walk - a Vida Series event,  begins at Amelia Island State Park parking lot on the southernmost end of Amelia Island off of A1A. It ends at Fernandina Beach Marina. It is approximately 15 miles with 2 water refill and rest stops along the way. At every mile there will be an informational pause to notice the beauty and nature of the trees...  We will be walking on the Amelia Island Trail, the beach, Egan's Creek Greenway, and the historic village.

The event takes place on Saturday October 7. Plan on 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM for the full walk.

If you want to do a shorter walk, you can choose to stop after 5 or approximately 9 miles.  (NOTE: If you choose the 5 or 9 mile walks, you will need to arrange for transportation back to your car.

This event will benefit and support the efforts of the Amelia Tree Conservancy.

One free t-shirt for registered participants plus a goody bag from the sponsors. Additional t-shirts are available for purchase.

Event details and schedule

Packet pick up 7:30 am- 7:45 am, Amelia Island State Park.

Walk starts promptly at 8:00 AM.

We recommend that you bring water (there will be 2 stops to refill water bottles), a snack, cellphone, a hat, bug spray and ID.
