Description

TRIactive is an adult participation program that focuses on encouraging and supporting adult beginner triathletes to ultimately achieve the goal of completing a mini triathlon - 250m swim, 10km ride and a 3km run.

Join TRIactive Bayside, delivered by experienced triathlon coaches Sally Ham and Chris Dunn, to be a part of their 6 week training program leading into your race day experience taking place at Elwood on Sunday 04 February 2018 in 2XU Race 4.

The program lasts for 6 weeks and features 2 sessions per week including:

 

Monday evening swim sessions held at Glen Eira Sports & Aquatic Centre (GESAC) in Bentleigh East at 6:15pm.

Wednesday morning spin bike sessions held at Bayside Triathlon Club's club rooms at 6:15am. The spin sessions are gradually extended to incorporate running off the bike as bike/run sessions.

Confirmed details for the program are as follows:

 

  • The program is built around two weekly sessions that will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays as follows:

 

  • Monday swim sessions at 6:30pm at Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre (GESAC) 200 East Boundary Rd, Bentleigh East, 3165.
  • Wednesday spin bike/run sessions at 6:15am at Bayside Triathlon Club, 244 Jetty Road, Sandringham, 3193

 

The program begins on Monday 11 December and runs for 2 weeks before a 2 week break for Christmas. It restarts on Monday 08 January 2018 for 4 weeks and finishes with the Active Feet Fun Tri mini triathlon at 2XU Race 4 at Elwood on Sunday 04 February 2018.

 

The mini triathlon cosists of a 250m swim a 10km bike and a 3km run.

 

Equipment for these sessions will consist of at least the following:

    • Bathers, goggles, a swim cap if you use one and a towel for the swim session
    • Trainers and/or bike shoes and comfortable clothing to exercise in for the spin and run session.
    • A water bottle and towel for all session.
