Statistics regarding young adolescents are astounding. Did you know that over 72 Million children are growing up today without a formal education? Every 26 seconds a student drops out school. The Midwest Sports Academy was founded on the belief that becoming involved in the lives of youth increases the likely hood of them completing high school and receiving a diploma. We strive to help students complete their formal education by involving businesses, like you, to assist us in reaching our goal.
Our mission is to provide kids, ages 9 -16, with programming that prepares them for college while also assisting them in developing good citizenship skills. Through our core values of developing a strong work ethic, personal discipline, honesty, and respect, we are dedicated to inspiring youth to make positive decisions throughout their lives. We are committed to helping youth embrace these core values as they are central to our organization. “According to our values, we only do things that will impact others’ lives”.
In the past seven years we have made a great impact on others’ lives. We have provided Thanksgiving dinner for 250 families in local communities. Our goal this year is to provide 500 families with Thanksgiving dinners. We brought many smiles to over 40 kids during the holiday season, by providing toys and other gifts for them. Our goal during holiday season will be to provide 65 kids smiles. In addition, we also donated toys, gift cards, and etc. to the Ronald McDonald House, Annual “Back to School” backpack event and Annual Free Basketball Camp.
