This is the 10th and last year of Energia24. It carries a gold label from the IAU and a Permit from UK Athletics. It is The National Championship* but welcomes runners from around the globe. The winner is the man and woman who goes the furthest in a 24-hour period. There is a prize fund of £2K + bonuses for records + other prizes.There is a special jacket for anyone who goes beyond 100 miles. This summer(June 22/23) it comes from Victoria Park on a 1652m traffic-free,flat course in the east of Belfast,Northern Ireland. There are also  24-hour team relays(teams of 4 each doing 3 stints of 2 hours. The catagories are Men's, Women's and Mixed( include at least 1 woman ). * To be eligible for the National Championship you must be a member of a club north or south and be eligible to carry an Irish passport. As well as  1-2-3 championship medals, there will be National age-group medals.

Event details and schedule

The race starts at noon on Saturday,June 22. It will be preceded by a Parkrun which starts at 0930.

There is a kids race on the Saturday for U10s and U5s at 3pm on the 'island'.

There will be Registration in Victoria Park on Friday,June 21 from 1pm -6pm; and then from 8am on Saturday,June 22.

There will be no parking in Victoria Park. There will be parking in Topaz on the Airport Road and there is limited parking beside the pedestrian park entrance, The Sam Thompson Bridge.

There will be tables and chairs for 'pit' areas.  An organiser's tent for use of participants and a food and water station. Last Lap Cafe will also be on site in the car park. There will be toilets on the course.

A head-torch is advisable.
