A portion of the proceeds from this race benefit the local area foodshelves.  With an average of 1000-1700 runners across the two distances, this is a great race for the competitive runner as well as the recreational.  Strollers, walkers and dogs are welcome at this family affair.  Overall winners receive turkeys and pumpkin pies.  Awesome giveaways for those making a donation to the foodshelves.  Through the years we have donated over 35,000 pounds of food ant clost to $10,000.  Carolers on the course will put you in the holiday mood if you aren't already there.

Pets are allowed. Dogs, anyway. Monkeys and pythons are discouraged. Please only bring your pet if they're friendly and not freaked out by a thousand people, and start at the back of the pack.
