Hardy Monument 72ft Abseil - The Royal British Legion
This is your chance to abseil the Historic Hardy Monument it's a great place to also bring the family when you come.
Hardy Monument was built in 1844 in memory of Vice-Admiral Sir Thomas Masterman Hardy, Flag Captain of HMS Victory at the Battle of Trafalgar. Amongst other things, Hardy became famous as it was in his arms that Nelson died, saying the immortal words 'Kiss me Hardy'.

Why not get a group of friends/family or work colleagues together and take part! No experience necessary, full training will be given by our professional abseil suppliers on the day prior to your abseil time!
You will get a huge buzz from the excitement of taking part and your great achievement of completing the challenge, knowing that you are helping The Royal British Legion to provide financial, social and emotional support to members and veterans of the British Armed Forces, their families and dependants.

Minimum age to take part is 8 years old. All children taking part under the age of 18yrs, must have a signed parent/guardian consent form and must be accompanied by a responsible adult/parent or guardian on the day of the abseil. Maximum weight is 18 stone (due to harness sizes)
Full information about what you need to bring and where you need to go/abseil time etc will be included with your fundraising welcome pack after registering for the event.
