The Heart For Warriors Fun Run
The Heart For Warriors Mud Obstacle & 5K Challenge run is an obstacle climbing, trail-blazing, off-road wooded course that will push you to your limits. Hurdles, ropes, barricades, nets, tires, fences, hay, logs, holes, trees and water…get the picture? Good!!!
It’s time for you to get into the GAME.
Your participation in this mud run will:
o Reach out to veterans in the community who need help with PTSD.
o Supply resources for veterans and their families.
o Provide small groups and individual mentor sessions
o Educate the community about PTSD
Registration and packet pick-up will start at 6:45 am on event day at the Double D Ranch.
The 5K registered walk event will start at 8:00 am. (Please be on time).
The 5K registered Obstacle Course Mud Run will begin at 8:45 am. Small waves will be released every 3 minutes. Your physical start time is based on a first come, first serve basis, so naturally you will start earlier if you enter the start chute earlier.
All 5K Mud Obstacle Course participants will receive a polyester performance event shirt.
You might want to bring an extra set of clothes. YOU WILL GET MUDDY!
We will be having the event, no matter if it is rain or shine. If there's a thunderstorm we'll just wait until the storm passes. Thunderstorms aren't such a bad thing...people usually grab a bite to eat and it works out perfectly.
Please note that there is NO bag check. So please leave your valuables in the car or take what you want with you.
There is no charge for spectators. An open area for spectator viewing will be available on both sides of the start/finish line.
There will be several water stations on the course and at the finish line.
Please note we do not offer refunds. If you are unable to join us, please transfer your ticket to another athlete or contact Scott Stanwix @ 972-322-2255 for more information.
