About Jeff Galloway’s Program:

The Jeff Galloway Training Program is the Official Training Program of 26.2 with DONNA The National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer.  We also train for all races that Galloway Pacers serve, including but not limited to Disney Marathon and Half Marathons, Ameris Bank, Marine Corp Half Marathon, and Space Coast. The Galloway Run/Walk/Run Training Program is open to anyone who is interested in fulfilling a lifetime goal: of running a 5k, half marathon, or marathon. The training group welcomes all levels, from beginners to Boston qualifiers.  Pace groups are set up to ensure a comfortable and safe training pace for every ability.  We would love to have you, but if you're not certain about whether to join, email us at jaxtraining@breastcancermarathon.com.

General Info:

The Jacksonville Galloway Training Program meets on Saturday mornings at various locations across the Jacksonville area according to a published schedule hosted on our training platform Final Surge, and follows Olympian Jeff Galloway’s training guidelines to get you safely across the finish line of a half or full marathon if your goals are to finish, or to achieve a ‘PR’. Our group runs feature walking breaks at regular intervals based on your skill level. Pace groups (of usually 8-15) are set up according to current fitness level, and a Group Leader is assigned to keep the speed slow enough for all members and to enforce walk breaks from the beginning to the end.

Running is more fun when running together, as each member is motivated to run more often and stay injury free. As you share stories, (gossip, issues) and pull one another along, the miles go by much more quickly. Lifelong friendships are formed in these mission-oriented, but laid back groups. Once you register you need to go on Final Surge and create a profile. Visit www.finalsurge.com to set this up.  We will then add you to the current training calendar.  You will receive daily emails with your work out, the locations, other important information, etc.  Without a Final Surge account you will not have access to the Jacksonville Galloway Training Schedule.  Please allow up to 48 hours after you register for us to put your information into Final Surge.

2018-2019 Programs Available:

We are offering many programs this year targeting events at the 26.2 with DONNA on February 10, 2019,  as well as Fall 2018 Half Marathon events including the Jacksonville Marine Corps Half Marathon. December will again bring a road trip to Atlanta for the Jeff Galloway 13.1.  And what the heck, let’s train year round! Year Round options continue your journey beyond DONNA to maintain your fitness level for Fall Marathon events and beyond.

Training Program membership does not include race entry fees.

Refund Policy:

The training fee is non-refundable. Requests for refunds are considered for medical reasons only, must be accompanied by a physician’s letter and must be submitted prior to the half-way point in the training season. A $25 processing fee will be retained. People who want to try out Galloway Training may attend up to two group runs free of charge before registering for the season.
