Sometimes you run for swag. Sometimes you run for the pure joy of feeling the ground beneath your feet and the wind in your face. Sometimes you run for even better reasons. On June 2nd, join us on a run that will help accomplish something better, the battle against cancer. The Rawhide Run is the first run connected to Nebraska’s Annual Cattlemen’s Ball, held this year in Hebron, Nebraska. For your $50 entry fee, you won’t get much swag; just a t-shirt and breakfast. But you will run through one of the most picturesque places in southeastern Nebraska, down the tree-lined road that follows the Little Blue River. But half of your fee will be a donation to the Cattlemen's Ball of Nebraska, which works with the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center in Omaha in the fight against cancer.

And there’s more.

For an additional donation of $100, you can join in all of the activities of the Cattlemen’s Ball on that day, which include a packed afternoon of activities, highlighted by seeing Trace Adkins in concert on Saturday night.  More information about what the day includes can be found here: www.cattlemensball.com/ticket-sales/

On top of that, we are turning the traditional running bibs backwards. Instead of a number, you can write the name of a friend or family member who has battled cancer on your bib. The bibs will be displayed outside one of the main tents at this year’s Cattlemen’s Ball. The five thousand people who come will see your reason for running.

Come run with us. Hear the gravel crunch beneath your feet and feel the wind in your face as you run for the joy of helping others in the fight against cancer.
