Rhodes Hall: 1516 Peachtree Street, NW, Atlanta, United States
Join the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation for the 10th annual Rhodes Race at the Haunted Castle 5K! This dog and stroller friendly 5K will wind through the creepy twists and ghoulish hills of one of Atlanta’s oldest and boo-tiful neighborhoods, Ansley Park.
Feel free to run or walk in your best Halloween costume! Afterwards join us at the hair-raising after-party at Rhodes Hall for a costume contest, food and prizes. You can even take a self-guided tour inside Rhodes Hall, our “haunted castle,” and who knows, maybe you’ll get a glimpse of our resident apparition.
Here's what's in store:
The Georgia Trust’s Rhodes Race at the Haunted Castle is taking place Halloween weekend, and what could be more fun than a run from a spooky castle?
Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 9 a.m. and bring your whole family for the 10th Annual Rhodes Race at the Haunted Castle.
Beginning at our headquarters at historic Rhodes Hall, the dog and stroller friendly race will travel through 3.1 miles of gently rolling hills in the beautiful historic neighborhoods of Ansley Park and Sherwood Forest. The race will circle around the manicured landscape of Ansley Park golf course before returning to Rhodes Hall for the finish.
The course is stroller and dog friendly (just as long as your pooch is well-behaved, leashed, and under your control at all times). There will be a special “pet pit stop” along the race route to provide dogs with drinking water. Dogs and their runners will also have their own special start group.
Awesome Race Shirts and Prizes
All participants will receive an awesome t-shirt. Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male/female finishers, top 3 male/female finishers in each age group, first participant with a stroller and first dog.
The event is rain or shine. No refunds will be given.
If you think your pooch has what it takes to race with the best of ‘em, the run/walk event will begin at 9 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Rhodes Hall, located at 1516 Peachtree St. N.W., Atlanta, Georgia. Race day registration is available.
All proceeds benefit The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation.
