Ride 4 the Fight FAQ’s
Who is authorized for Company Business Travel?
Company Business Travel has been authorized for 1 TechOps Relay Team of 3 TechOps employees to depart from each station supporting a direct route to AMS. The first team to register from each supporting hub will have priority.
Company Business Travel outside of this parameter must reviewed by the employee's manager.
Note: Only Delta employees are eligible for Company Business Travel.
Which stations support a direct route to Amsterdam (AMS)?
How do I know if another TechOps team has already registered at my station?
There is already a TechOps team registered at my station. Can I still register for Ride 4 the Fight without Company Business Travel?
Absolutely! Company Business is not required for Ride 4 the Fight. There is no station registration cap for teams securing their own travel arrangements.
Do all members of my relay team need to be TechOps employees?
Authorization for Company Business will be granted first to teams with 3 TechOps riders. If a 3rd TechOps rider cannot be found, a Delta employee from another division may complete the team. Cross-locational teams of TechOps riders are also encouraged.
I am a TechOps employee looking for positive space travel but my station does not offer a direct route to AMS. What can I do?
TechOps teams based at the stations listed above are given priority for positive space. If the station closest to you fails to provide a team, your team may fill that slot. You would need to use this station to travel to AMS and may use positive space to travel domestically to that station.
Your team is still encouraged to register early. In your registration you will indicate which station you prefer for departure to AMS.
All other Delta employees are strongly encouraged to consider paid passage to ensure on-time arrival. Standby travel is permitted at the employees’ own risk. Race entrance fees will not be reimbursed due to a delayed arrival via standby travel, so plan accordingly.
