At dusk, (7:45pm Central Time Zone), ALL Runners will run the ceremonious first “lap of Darkness” through Nashotah Park. Team Captain will pre-select a lead runner to continue for second lap as all other team members exit course until their next running assignment. Team members will switch with a teammate in the marked transition area. Teams will pre-determine the sequence of team running assignments until sunrise at 6:20am. This is a chip-timed event by In-Focus Timing LLC. Teams with the most laps (miles) recorded will receive some awesome prizes! Solo runner with most miles logged will win $500 (Male and Female) for their efforts.

This run takes place entirely at night on a wooded trail. Headlamps are required for every runner. Course will be semi-lit with LED “candles” but to ensure your safety and others, please do not enter course without proper safety lighting. Hashtag #run2thesun with your coolest selfie during the event and you may win some cool door prizes!
Can’t hang out all night but want to be a part of a really cool event? Sign up for the “Lap of Darkness” which takes place at 7:45pm and get a commemorative t-shirt, and stay for worship, food and speakers!
Parking pass(es), 2, will be provided for each individual and team. Please limit vehicles to 2 per team.
Nashotah Park will be open to runners beginning at 3pm.
Tent Camping and RVs
Camping fees are not included in race registration but will be available directly through Waukesha County Parks. Camping fees will be assessed per tent and RV.
The wooded 3.5 mile loop is a closed course. No motorized vehicles will be on the course.
Every runner must wear his or her own headlamp. Runners can pre-order headlamp for $20.00 which will be available with race packet.
With Wisconsin's awesome September weather comes bugs, specifically mosquitos! Bring plenty of bug spray!
3pm-6pm Park opens for event parking, camping, packet pickup.

The Mission of Our Lady of the Angels establishes a Catholic presence in the West Humboldt Park area on Chicago’s west side.
This area is presently one of the poorest neighborhoods in the City of Chicago. The purpose of the Mission is twofold: to assist the materially poor and to share the treasure of our Catholic Faith.
