SpellBound Brewery: 10 Lippincott Lane, Mount Holly, United States
The 4th annual Spellbound Century road bike event takes place in Burlington County, NJ where you ride in scenic roads by local horse farms and various terrains. It starts from Spellbound Brewing in historic Mount Holly, NJ. There will be various mileage options to choose from including family friendly 22 miles, to a more experience 45 and 63 miles, to a challenging 100 miles. There will be a few hills along the way with lots of straightaways. The ride routes are marked, fully SAG supported and riders are assisted by a local motorcycle club. The event will also have fully stocked planned rest stops along the way at local farm markets where you can purchase goods that will be transported to the start point so they will be waiting for you when you finish the ride. The event also includes a post ride celebration at Spellbound Brewing where you will be treated to a pint of beer, pizza, Italian water ice, vendors and other fun activities. Participants who register before July 1st will receive and event t-shirt and, for those of you who are competitive, there will be a medal presented to the 100-mile riders.
The Spellbound Century has become one of the premier riding events of the summer. The event has always sold out before the day off, and this year there is a 750-participant limit, so register early to ensure a spot.
For 2018, your participation will be benefiting the Mt. Holly School District Parent/Teacher Organizations, whose mission is to create a culture of life-long learning that encourages and challenges students to become confident, self-sufficient, and respectful citizens. The Parent/Teacher Organizations will allot the donated funds to support each of the Mount Holly school’s college and career readiness efforts through three core programs: advancing the technology initiative for every child, providing every child every year with college or career exploration opportunities, and awarding summer camp scholarships for students seeking college, career, and/or leadership training.
In addition to the schools, your participation will ensure that the Rancocas Nature Center, operating continuously since 1977, will continue to offer high-quality, public programming to the community, most of which at no charge. The Nature Center, with its hike-able trails, offers an interesting mix of engaging environmental education, off-site field trips, manages wildlife friendly gardens, and hosts an Outdoor Photography Club, a Rancocas Chapter of the Native Plant Society of NJ, and a Nature Book Club. In addition, its Visitor Center houses a classroom, a museum area, and live animal displays.
