Torpoint Community College: Torpoint Community College, Torpoint, United Kingdom
Cycle some of the most stunning scenery you can imagine, starting in Torpoint you will ride out along the coast as the sun sets and then return back in with the moon giving you a new perspective on the area.
No timing chips are provided, this event is a charity event and designed to be challeging but fun, all our funds go to St Lukes Hospice, there are two distances to choose from, the 100Km which is generally regarded as a lot harder than it appears on the map, and the 50Km route which with some training is acheavable by most people.
Food stops are provided, two on the 100Km and one on the 50Km route, last year we provided roast potatoes and sausages with hot drinks and we aim to provide at least the same this year.
This will be the third year the event has been run and it is fast becoming a ride with a difference, out into the sunset on a balmy summers evening and then back in the moonlight, weather permitting!
The event starts at 7.30pm and concludes with the last rider back.
Parking is available at the start venue, Torpoint Community College.
On arrival please ensure you register at the event HQ with your email confirmation of entry.
You will need warm clothing for the event, although it is summer the evenings can still be cold. Please note it is mandatory for this event that your bike is fitted with working lights, fully charged or with new batteries that can last the time it may take you to ride the course. It is also mandatory that helmets are worn at all times.
