Saturday 8th June 2019
Clapham Common: Clapham Common Bandstand, London, United Kingdom
A family and dog friendly fun run with a difference! Whether you choose to wear an elephant onesie, your regular running gear or face paint it up, run 5k or 10k for Kenya's iconic but threatened species!
At the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, we work to protect Kenya’s wildlife, including elephants. We can’t bear a future without this iconic species and we’re determined to keep doing all we can to protect wild herds, treat injured elephants and care for calves, orphaned by ivory poaching.
By participating in the Enormous Elephant Run, you will be supporting the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's work to protect, preserve and conserve Kenya's wildlife and wild spaces. On the day, you'll join our awesome 'herd' of challenge seekers, elephant lovers and fitness fans for a day to remember.
Here are our rules to run by..
1. Our herd is for everyone! We're family and dog friendly plus our runners are brilliant people who make the atmosphere on the day inspiring.
2. We're in this for elephants! Fundraising is central to our event: we love elephants and want to keep them protected. We know you love elephants and a challenge too, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this, so make sure you set a fundraising target to aim for and have fun trying to hit it.
3. Tell your friends! Remember: elephants are social animals and love having fun with their friends. So tell everyone, pick an awesome team name and bring a group.
Can't make it on the day? Sign up to be a Virtual Runner and run from anywhere in the world!
