Please note that there is are several moderate hill climbs during the stomp, so we highly recommend that all stompers do pre-training hill work prior to the event, no flat walk training.
The route will take you through Victoria Park and Banks Street Reserve , you will see parts of Brisbane that are stunning , the stomp is mostly flat however there are a few challenging uphills along the way.
The GAYTHORNE RSL STOMP is a journey of friendship not a race, you will be stomping with other people in a safe and controlled environment averaging 4-5KLM per hour. The stompers will have two stops along the way to top up your water and have a toilet break. At the rest stops- remember this event is not about individuals, it is about looking after your friends and making sure that everyone succeeds in a manner that reflects true Australian friendship.
