Altona Foreshore: Esplanade, Altona, Australia
The WSTC duathlon series is run during winter and spring on the Altona Foreshore, the race distances are:
Sprint – 5km run, 18.75km ride and 5km run (15+)
Enticer – 3km run, 12.5km ride and 3km run (14+)
Dash – 1.5km run, 6.25km ride, 1.5km run (12+)
Registration opens at 06:30 and closes at 07:15 on the day of the race for competitors to collect their race number and timing chip. There will be a compulsory race briefing for all competitors at 07:50 by the start line and the race will start at 08:00. For first timers and juniors or anyone who is unsure of what they should be doing, there will be a seperate briefing at 7:30 with lots of time to ask any questions you might have.
All participants will need to register on the day of the race at the WSTC clubhouse on the Esplanade, Altona. Even though you have entered the race online, you will need to register on the day to receive your timing chip and race number (in order to keep costs down, we will collect the timing chip and race number from you at the end of the race) and for us to check you off so that we can know who is racing and run a safe race.
Getting to the race: There is plenty of parking on the side streets coming off the Esplanade, given that we run our duathlon races early on a Sunday morning, public transport isn't usually an option.
